Kolkata Franchise India news : Kolkata City based Polo Foods has bagged the master franchise rights for three American quick service restaurants (QSR) — Great American Cookies, Quiznos and Forever Yogurt.

The company plans to set up 100 outlets by 2016, with the three brands coming to the city in 2-3 months.

Polo, part of hospitality company Polo Towers Group, will be the master franchises for Great American Cookies in the whole country, while the rights for Quiznos is for eastern India. Forever Yogurt will be opened in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. The company will invest Rs 100 crore over a two-year period in the Food & Beverages business to set up front-end and back-end infrastructure.

“The food market in India is growing fast and organised QSR is growing faster. The idea is to make Polo Foods a platform from where multiple brands can open outlets,” said Deval Tibrewalla, CEO and director, Polo Towers Group.

“We are also in talks with two other brands,” he said.
