“robotic education will change the education style as Robotics will play significant role not only in our daily life but also in industry, in offices, in military and other activities.” Founder of Vardhmaan International, V.K. Jain share his views on the future of robotic education in India as well as on franchising, with Franchise Mart. Here it is..

1) What is the core idea behind the inception of VARDHAMAN INTERNATIONAL?
Ans: The idea of inception of Vardhman International was to import all kinds of educational toys, games, DIY kits, science projects, puzzles and all kinds of learning toys which are not available in our country so that kids and children can learn while play. We are regular importer of the same. We also import solar educational toys, which provided knowledge to children about the application of solar energy.

2) Your concept of robotic education is quite impressive for future generation, what do you think, will it be able to bring change in Indian educational style?
Ans: Robotic education is new in our country. We feel many parents are still not aware of the robotic education and many are not feeling the importance of teaching the same to their children. However, parents and children have gradually started feeling the importance of robotic education. In my opinion, robotic education will change the education style as Robotics will play significant role not only in our daily life but also in industry, in offices, in military and other activities.

3) Why did you prefer franchise route for the expansion?
Ans: We got lots of enquiries to organise Robotic workshops from different cities, not only which are closer to Delhi but also far distant places like Surat, Mumbai, Pune, bangalore etc. We analyzed that it shall be very difficult to manage and operate our training centers which are quite far from us. Therefore, expansion through Franchise route is the only option left with us.

4) Are there any challenges for you to bring up this concept? What strategies you are equipping to handle those challenges?
Ans: First we study which is the best robotic program available in the advanced countries like USA, Germany, UK and Europe. After doing all the research, we selected the best kits which can be easily handled by small children and not dangerous. We adopted the best robotic programs written by world experts in the field in USA. There is shortage of trained faculty in the field as very few know this technology but since my self is a Mechanical engineer, I have learned the same and have trained many faculty to overcome the demand.

5) What are the basic requirements you are seeking in the franchisees?
Ans: The basic requirement in any entrepreneur is the strong desire to succeed. He should have this desire. Secondly a person who likes to teach small kids and children is desirable. If any person is ready to learn the technology then he can prove to be best franchisee. The investment requirement is 5-6 lakhs which will give you return on investment of minimum 50% in first year itself.

6) What all training and support will you offer to them?
Ans: Anybody who becomes our franchisee, we will provide extensive training for at least 7 days in our workshop for 2 persons. After that, when he starts his center, we will send our faculty to take the first 5 days workshop in his presence. Thereafter, if he feels any difficulty, he is always free to contact us for any help.

7) Are there any advices you would like to give to the franchisees, for their future growth?
Ans: Yes, we can provide advice according to the circumstances and problems faced by our Franchisees. We can guide them from time to time for their future growth. We believe that franchisee is our business partner and it becomes our responsibility that he grows. His growth will be our growth.

8) What are the future plans?
Ans: First we want to establish as many as possible number of franchisees throughout the country. Secondly, we want to add training of more sophisticated and advance robotics which is in high demand in industry and military. The future of robotics in our country is extremely bright and in next 20 years it will be the robotic age.
