What was the vision behind the origin of “X MEX”?
Xmex was an innovation. A much needed phenomenon in the fashion Industry. We stumbled upon the idea of offering Fashion clothing line for large size citizens after a friend cribbed about not finding good fashionable shirts and t/shirts to wear in Large Sizes. Our vision took concrete shape there and we realized that our main focus will be to provide High fashion Clothing and accessories for Large Sized Patrons and clients and see their Happiness quotient seek a peak.

What inspired X-MEX to take the franchise route to expand business?
We started our first Store in 2005 and by 2011 we had ten stores in three States. Further growth in all probability never looked difficult but making our concept reach in every corner of the country seemed relatively difficult considering the vast geography of the country, Hence the best available option only seemed possible by way of offering Franchise to Grow in Size and cater to the Large sized populace of the Country.

Which franchise module works along with your brand?
X-Mex is open for Franchise in two models: – Buy and Sell Model and Consignment Model. Require space is minimum 400-450 Sq. Ft. at a prime location. The interiors will be required strictly as per company norms. Approximately Rs.4 Lac is the investment for Interiors and installing Software & billing system. Stock value has to be kept of around 12-15 Lacs at any given point of time. Agreement is for 3 years.

In consignment business model, space requirement remains same. An interest free stock deposit of Rs.1800 per sq. ft. and an infrastructure development of approx. Rs. 4 Lac is the qualifying criteria. Lock In period is of 1 year and an agreement period of 5 years.
X-Mex offers profit margin of 25% to 30% as per business model. Target oriented incentives are separate.

What is your marketing and sales strategy?
We have taken inspiration from International Companies and formulated a strategy to use the right marketing technique for our Brand. We did go through our trial and error phase but finally succeeded in identifying the correct form of Advertising to reach the Target Audience. Additionally, Mouth publicity has played a major role in building up our expected sales targets and growth achievements.


What kind of training and support a franchisee would get when partnering with you?

We have hired a team of qualified trained personnel to provide support to any new franchisee the company ties up with. This includes providing software and technical know how about billing, promotions, sales generation and loyalty programmes. Additionally, we also provide a support team for furniture and other stacking and raking ideas.

What are the future plans of “X MEX”?
We visualize our position in this ever competitive business scenario as a leading Global brand well-known for catering to plus size people seeking to wear High Fashion Clothing and the prosperity of our partner franchisees. The way upwards is only when our partners in vision and growth make equal profits from their association with us as we do. Final Focus will be on our Clients and End retail consumers.
