Vodafone<\/p><\/div>Breaking News India<\/a><\/strong>,Franchise News India<\/a><\/strong>,Vodafone <\/a><\/strong>plans to invest Rs 541 crore in expanding its 4G services across Gujarat<\/a><\/strong>. Now that reliance Jio has announced tons of user-friendly offer which are ultra-affordable to access, all other telcom operators are pulling-up their socks to compete with the plans. Within a day of Reliance Jio<\/a><\/strong> announcing the launch of its much-talked about 4G services with dirt-cheap tariffs, Vodafone said it will invest more than Rs 500 crore to expand its 4G services in Gujarat. Announcing the launch of Vodafone SuperNet 4G services in Surat, Vodafone India<\/a><\/strong> MD & chief executive Sunil Sood said, \u201cthe company has invested about Rs 541 crore in Gujarat, and will invest a similar amount this year towards network expansion<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sood said the company will roll out the 4G services across the state over the next few months. The Gujarat launch follows successful launches of 4G services in Kerala<\/a><\/strong>, Karnataka, Kolkata<\/a><\/strong>, DelhiNCR<\/a><\/strong>, Mumbai<\/a><\/strong>, Haryana & UP East. <\/p>\n

Built on the more efficient 1,800 MHz band, this network will enable the 4G customers access the Internet with higher speed. \u201dAs a steadfast partner to Digital India drive, we are delighted to launch Vodafone 4G in Gujarat during this second phase of our 4G rollout,\u201d he said, adding the next destination will be Bengal and 1,000 towns across the country by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Vodafone\u2019s global expertise and experience of launching 4G across 20 countries gives us a better understanding of this technology and the needs of the 4G customer, said Sood.<\/p>\n

Vodafone has also announced its 4G services in Surat<\/a><\/strong>. Launching its 4G operations in Gujarat, Vodafone announced an array of data packs starting from as low as Rs 8 for 30MB, free upgrade to 4G for customers along with high-speed 4G SIM, and double data \u2013 20GB at Rs 998. The launch comes a day after Reliance Jio<\/a><\/strong>, yesterday, shook the telecom sector with its disruptive offering of free voice calls for life, and data tariffs priced as low at one-tenth of the prevailing market rates.
