<\/a>Wyndham Hotel<\/p><\/div>Breaking News India<\/a><\/strong>,Franchise News India<\/a><\/strong>,Franchise In India<\/a><\/strong>,Wyndham Hotel group<\/a><\/strong> eyes more expansion <\/a><\/strong>in India,As per a report in TOI, Wyndham Hotel group, the world\u2019s largest hotel company in terms of number of hotels, is on the prowl for acquisitions in India to increase its presence in the country. The US-based group currently has 26 hotels with 2,625 rooms in India.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are looking at 100% acquisitions if the opportunity exists. We are looking at domestic brands and not real estate<\/a> <\/strong>play. A ready-made portfolio helps us increase our presence and that is how our company has historically grown,\u201d said Deepika Arora, regional VP (Eurasia), Wyndham Hotel Group.<\/p>\n She, however, did not disclose the \u201cwar chest\u201d amount the company has readied for acquisitions. The move comes even as Wyndham has major expansion plans for the country. \u201cWe will be having 41 hotels with 4,755 rooms in next three years across India <\/a><\/strong>in cities like Darjeeling and Kumbhalgarh,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Wyndham\u2019s global portfolio consists of nearly 8,000 hotels and over 6.8 lakh rooms in 73 countries under brands like Dolce Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Grand, Ramada. In India<\/a><\/strong>, it has properties in cities like Bengaluru<\/a><\/strong>, Mumbai<\/a><\/strong>, Gurgaon, Goa, Jaipur and Udaipur. About acquisitions, Arora said Wyndham could retain acquired brand\u2019s identity if it is strong.<\/p>\n For instance, the group acquired Dolce Hotels and Resorts in Europe and US earlier this year which is known for hosting MICE \u2014 meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions\/ events \u2014 and retained the brand even after takeover.
