For this, the brand plans to have over 500 restaurants<\/a><\/strong> by the end of 2014 and 1000 restaurants <\/a><\/strong>by the end of 2017 in India<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sanjiv Pandey, Marketing Manager, Franchise<\/a><\/strong> Advertising Fund, Subway Systems India Pvt. Ltd says: \u201cSubway chain\u2019s plans for India are in line with its growth plans for Asia as per which it has set a target of opening more than 3,000 restaurants by 2017.<\/p>\n

Subway restaurant chain, the largest submarine chain in the world, has adapted itself to the Indian taste by introducing vegetarian menu for its consumers. <\/p>\n

Currently, Subway is well known for its foot-long submarine sandwiches and salads. The Subway chain entered the India market in 2001, with the first restaurant opening in New Delhi<\/a><\/strong>. The chain\u2019s steady growth in India is in large part due to its franchise business<\/a><\/strong> model. <\/p>\n
