{"id":1458,"date":"2012-08-22T05:27:08","date_gmt":"2012-08-22T05:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.franchisemart.in\/franchise\/?p=1458"},"modified":"2012-08-22T05:27:08","modified_gmt":"2012-08-22T05:27:08","slug":"retail-inflation-settles-at-9-86-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchisemart.in\/franchise\/retail-inflation-settles-at-9-86-in-july\/","title":{"rendered":"Retail inflation settles at 9.86% in july"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.franchisemart.in\/franchise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/images.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.franchisemart.in\/franchise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/images.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"images\" width=\"230\" height=\"219\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1459\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Inflation in Retail has slightly abated to 9.86 per cent in July as the prices of spices, cereals, and its products have fell down, even though the prices of vegetables remained up during this month.<br \/>\nBased on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the inflation for June was revised downwards to 9.93 per cent from the provisional estimate of 10.02 per cent, as per the government data released here today.<br \/>\nVegetable prices record the maximum spurt, up 27.33 per cent, followed by edible oils \u2014 17.37 per cent and pulses and its products \u2014 12.49 per cent in July, year-on-year basis.<br \/>\nPrices of egg, fish and meat boosted up to 11.11 per cent, while non-alcoholic beverages became expensive by 9.26 per cent.<br \/>\nAmong other items, the prices of cereals and its products saw a rise of 6.45 per cent over the July 2011 level.<br \/>\nWhile sugar saw a rise of 9.06 per cent, prices of food and beverages, clothing, bedding and footwear segments remained in the double-digit.<br \/>\nInflation rates for rural and urban areas were 9.76 per cent and 10.10 per cent respectively in July.<br \/>\nAccording to the updated data, the inflation rates for rural and urban areas were 9.65 per cent and 10.44 per respectively cent in June.<br \/>\nThe all-India CPI is in addition to the three retail price indices \u2014 for agricultural labourers, rural labourers and industrial workers \u2014 prepared by the Ministry of Labour.<br \/>\nThe headline Inflation as measured by the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) had also declined to 6.87 per cent in July as the rate of price rise of food articles <\/p>\n<iframe src='http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.franchisemart.in%2Ffranchise%2Fretail-inflation-settles-at-9-86-in-july%2F&amp;layout=button_count&amp;show_faces=true&amp;width=280&amp;action=recommend&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;height=30' scrolling='no' frameborder='0' style='border:none;
